As Creative Director, Designer, and Brand Owner, I launched my debut collection in April 2024 as part of an independent passion project exploring coming-of-age narratives through material and memory, with a second collection in October 2024 continuing the evolution of the work.
The collection "Inner Child Ambrosia" reflects on the transition from youth into adulthood, contrasting softness and restraint through muted palettes, refined silhouettes, and tactile detail. Rather than relying on colour, the work expresses itself through texture, structure, and fabric manipulation where material becomes the primary language. Blending satin, metallic fibres, and raw denim, the collection sits at the intersection of opposing influences, shaped by early exposure to craftsmanship and textile-making. It invites slower observation and introspection, encouraging a deeper reading beyond surface aesthetics into process, memory, and personal history. It is a space where the inner child and present self coexist, and where storytelling unfolds through fabric, form, and material.
"Inner Child Ambrosia" refers to a symbolic substance for healing and self-reflection, drawing from the ancient Greek concept of ambrosia, the divine food of the gods associated with immortality and longevity. Within this context, the idea parallels a longing for youth and an introspective return to memory and the past.
The work highlights the complexity of girlhood and its continued influence in shaping identity today, exploring the tension between nostalgia and becoming. It reflects on the notion of divinity within the self and the depth found in antiquity, positioning clothing as more than expression - rather as a vessel for memory, transformation, and understanding.
